Job Purpose
To carry out the service, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis of air conditioning and HVAC systems to a high standard. The role requires a fully qualified engineer who can work independently, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of air conditioning systems
- Diagnose and repair faults on split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and chiller systems
- Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
- Complete system inspections and performance testing
- Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work complies with current health & safety and F-Gas regulations
- Liaise professionally with clients on-site and provide technical advice where required
- Identify and report additional works or system improvements
- Mentor and support trainee or junior engineers when required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Good experience servicing and fault finding all aspects of refrigeration e.g., VRV systems, chill water fan coil units, chillers
- Valid F-Gas certification (Category 1)
- Fully qualified in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration
- Proven experience servicing and repairing AC systems in commercial or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of electrical systems
