We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company based in the Yorkshire area. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary and excellent career progression opportunities.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple construction schemes. You’ll work independently or as part of a small team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support to site and project managers
  • Monitor and update project costs, comparing monthly forecasts to actuals
  • Manage subcontractor procurement from start to finish
  • Conduct valuations, certifications, and approvals of subcontractor payments
  • Guide operational teams on cost estimation and contractual requirements
  • Present valuation reports and cost estimates to clients and managers
  • Tender and negotiate contracts, prepare target costs and contract documents
  • Support, manage, and mentor junior surveyors

Requirements

  • HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (Degree desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract types (JCT, NEC, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid UK driving license and CSCS card
