We’re working with a well-established and esteemed business looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer (Systems and Networks) to join their growing Digital & Technology team. This is a hands-on role supporting and developing the company’s network and systems environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a secure, reliable IT infrastructure while supporting users and working closely with internal teams and external technology partners. The business is currently going through a major infrastructure and systems upgrade, including a network refresh across the organisation over the next 18 months, making this a great time to join and influence the environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for supporting and improving the company’s infrastructure, with a particular focus on Microsoft Azure / Active Directory and Cisco networking. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 3rd line support across infrastructure, networking and security
  • Managing and supporting Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Entra ID
  • Supporting and maintaining Cisco / Meraki networking environments
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting network performance and security issues
  • Working with external partners on infrastructure improvements and projects
  • Supporting backups, patching, and vulnerability management
  • Documenting systems, processes and configurations
  • Supporting wider IT teams and helping improve overall infrastructure capability

This role combines project work and hands-on support, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and getting stuck into the technical detail.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with broad infrastructure experience, particularly across networking and Microsoft environments. Key requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in a network, infrastructure or systems administration role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure (Entra ID)
  • Experience working with Cisco or Meraki networking
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in a live business environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • VMware Veeam
  • Security tools such as EDR / MDR / MDM
  • Infrastructure monitoring and backup solutions

This is a great opportunity to join a stable, growing business with a collaborative IT team, where infrastructure plays a key role in supporting operations. You’ll work alongside developers, analysts and project teams while helping deliver major infrastructure improvements across the organisation.
