We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established charity that is seeking an HR Advisor to join its supportive HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Role
As the first point of contact for HR enquiries, you'll provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of people-related matters. You'll also support employee relations activity and help ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and in line with current legislation and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the HR inbox and responding to day-to-day HR queries.
- Providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
- Supporting managers with absence management and general employee relations matters.
- Assisting with consultation meetings, including taking notes and preparing documentation.
- Coordinating the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding and exit interviews.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Supporting the wider HR team with ongoing projects and organisational change initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone with previous HR experience who enjoys building relationships and providing excellent customer service. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable managing a varied workload while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
To be successful you'll have:
- Previous experience in an HR support or HR Advisor position.
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prioritise work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
- A positive, flexible approach and a willingness to get involved.
