Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the performance and reliability of equipment across a multi-site environment. You will play a key role in keeping critical systems operating reliably, working hands-on in the field to diagnose, maintain, and repair equipment. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
The Role
- You will spend most of your time out in the field, making sure essential equipment stays up and running.
- Every day is different, with a mix of fault-finding, maintenance, and customer interaction.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of electrical and electronic systems.
- Work as a field-based engineer across multiple customer sites.
- Respond to faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and complete repairs efficiently.
- Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Accurately complete reports and documentation.
- Support system upgrades and improvement projects.
About You
- Ideally previous experience in a similar role and completed a recognised apprenticeship.
- Electrical/electronic qualification (BTC, ONC, or equivalent).
- Comfortable working with electrical and electronic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to fault-finding.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work independently.
- Full driving licence.
