About the role
Credit Controller – Join a Fast-Growing Energy Supplier in Bury, Manchester. £24,000–£26,000 (depending on experience). Full-time | Flexitime available.
Are you a confident, organised professional with a passion for credit control? Our client — a leading commercial gas supplier — is looking for a Credit Controller to join their energetic, close-knit Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and results-driven environment where you’ll help businesses stay on track while reducing payment arrears. You’ll manage your own customer ledger and play a key role in maintaining positive cash flow.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing your own ledger and ensuring customers adhere to payment terms
- Building strong relationships with customers and resolving account queries
- Proactively chasing outstanding payments and reducing debt levels
- Monitoring high-risk accounts and escalating when necessary
- Initiating disconnection procedures for overdue accounts within set processes
- Identifying and recommending process improvements
- Producing ad-hoc reports and supporting with general admin tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Self-motivated and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities
- Organised and able to manage time effectively
- Comfortable using Outlook and proficient with Excel
