Job Purpose: To carry out the service, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis of air conditioning and HVAC systems to a high standard. The role requires a fully qualified engineer who can work independently, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and chiller systems.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
  • Complete system inspections and performance testing.
  • Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health & safety and F-Gas regulations.
  • Liaise professionally with clients on-site and provide technical advice where required.
  • Identify and report additional works or system improvements.
  • Mentor and support trainee or junior engineers when required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Good experience servicing and fault finding all aspects of refrigeration e.g., VRV systems, chill water fan coil units, chillers.
  • Valid F-Gas certification (Category 1).
  • Fully qualified in Air Conditioning / Refrigeration.
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing AC systems in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence (clean).

Desirable:

  • Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps.
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS).
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
  • Health & safety qualifications (e.g., CSCS, SSSTS).

  • Flexible and willing to travel as required.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Overtime may be required. Saturday work available (based on customer demand) if desired.
