Responsibilities:
- Transport a wide range of HGV vehicles on a national basis, including Refuse Trucks, Skip Trucks, Hook Loaders, Cage Tippers, Gully Tankers, Truck Mounted Sweepers, Tractor Units, Walking Floor Combination Trucks, Food Waste Vehicles, Impact Protection Vehicles, Winter Maintenance Vehicles, Traffic Management and Highway Vehicles.
- Deliver and collect vehicles, ensuring timely and safe service to customers across the UK.
- Provide consistently good customer service and maintain a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Complete rental related paperwork as required.
- Valet HGV vehicles and inspect for damage.
- Assist with depot cleanliness and conduct workshop vehicle transport to testing stations.
- Support workshop operations by D&C customer vehicles, preparing them for hire and collecting parts when needed.
- Perform daily checks on runner vehicles.
- Manage own workload and logistics against business needs and customer demand.
- Work flexibly, including unstructured hours, evenings and weekends; overtime when required.
- Prioritise health and safety and avoid endangering colleagues or the public.
Qualifications:
- HGV Class 1 licence.
- Experience in an HGV Driver role.
- Flexibility to work unstructured hours across a large geographical area – essential.
- Excellent representation of NRG Riverside with a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
- Strong organisational skills to manage workload and logistics.
