NRG Riverside is the UK’s largest municipal and specialist fleet hire company. Established in 1996, we support customers to rationalise, decarbonise and improve fleet efficiency.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our Bellshill depot and support our growth. The role involves service and repair of a wide variety of vehicles, primarily refuse trucks. Specialist training will be provided where needed to develop your existing skills.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair of commercial vehicles, including routine inspections and major repairs.
- Undertake MOT inspections, repairs and final preparation for MOT testing.
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs to a high standard.
- Maintain compliance paperwork for all repair and maintenance activities.
- Support specialist assets and contribute to continuous improvement of workshop processes.
Qualifications
- Experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic or Engineer.
- NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent HGV technical qualification.
- Class 2 HGV licence preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong team player.
- Awareness of health and safety practices and ability to work independently.
- Municipal experience on refuse trucks/RCVs is a plus.
Duties
- Internal & external inspection and repair of vehicles within the NRG workshop estate.
- Commercial vehicle MOT inspections and final preparation.
- Complete compliance paperwork associated with the repair and maintenance of the rental fleet.
