Who will you be working for?
NRG Riverside is the UK’s largest municipal and specialist fleet hire company, providing specialist vehicles on short and long-term hire, a range of vehicle maintenance packages and a large portfolio of high-quality used vehicles for sale. Established in 1996, we’ve supported our valued customers to rationalise and decarbonise their fleets, save money and improve efficiency by reducing ‘Vehicle Off Road’ (VOR) time.
What candidate are we looking for?
- Experienced within vehicle preparation from a similar role such as Vehicle Prepper; HGV Prepper; LCV Prepper; LGV Prepper; Truck Prepper
- Preparing vehicles for paint including sanding, masking, priming and cleaning ready for topcoat application
- Filler work and small cataloy repairs
- Basic knowledge of panel repair process as well as paint products and application
- A sense of urgency – able to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Multi-tasking and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and work off own initiative with a proactive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and technical data
- Willingness to undertake training to further develop skills
- Good housekeeping
What will be your duties?
- Preparation of HGVs and LCVs for painting
- Sanding panels and vehicles to correct standard ready for primer & topcoat application
- Identifying defective panels and completing small cataloy repairs to correct standard
- Completing necessary masking of vehicle ready for paint application
- Washing and tack-ragging all vehicles ready for paint application
- De-masking vehicles after painting, ensuring good housekeeping practices
- Washing & valeting vehicle after all works complete ensuring high standards for customer delivery
