The Opportunity
As a Bridging Underwriter, you’ll manage your own portfolio of bridging finance cases from application through to completion — driving deals forward, ensuring quality underwriting, and maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to brokers and clients while safeguarding lending quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full lending process from initial enquiry through to drawdown.
- Underwrite a live pipeline of bridging cases, balancing speed, accuracy, and risk management.
- Ensure every case aligns with internal lending criteria and regulatory standards.
- Liaise effectively with brokers, solicitors, valuers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth process.
- Instruct solicitors post-offer and oversee documentation to completion.

About You
- Proven experience underwriting bridging and/or development finance cases.
- In-depth understanding of FCA regulation and responsible lending principles (CeMAP desirable).
