About the Role
As the Training & Competence Monitoring Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in driving adviser development, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and strengthening the company’s Training & Competence framework. The role is largely home‑based, typically requiring only 2–4 days per month in the office (location dependent). Initial onboarding will include increased office presence during the first two weeks. Working at the heart of the compliance and performance function, you will influence adviser capability, support business objectives, and ensure that every customer receives suitable, high‑quality advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, embed and oversee all requirements within the company’s Training & Competence scheme.
- Conduct adviser observations across all product areas, identifying developmental needs.
- Lead regular 1:1s with advisers to review performance, KPIs and risks to drive improved customer outcomes.
- Provide ongoing coaching to enhance advice quality and strengthen adviser capability.
- Facilitate and deliver induction training aligned to the T&C scheme.
- Build strong cross‑departmental relationships to support an effective end‑to‑end customer journey.
- Ensure accurate, timely T&C record keeping and support first‑line defence activities.
- Respond appropriately to complaints in line with company policy.
- Promote and uphold high standards of conduct, customer focus and compliance across all activities.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a regulated or financial services environment.
- At least 1 year in a Training & Competence, coaching, supervisory or quality assurance role.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulation and the UK regulatory environment.
- Effective communicator with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to work to challenging deadlines.
- Confident in providing constructive challenge and working both independently and collaboratively.
