With over Β£1.3bn already deployed and continued investment into growth, the lender offers brokers a highly competitive proposition across bridging, refurbishment and buy-to-let finance, with loans up to 70% LTV and terms of up to five years.
About the Role
This is a field-based Business Development Manager role where you will be given ownership of a defined sales region and an established broker database. Rather than being desk-bound, you will have the autonomy to manage your own diary, meet brokers face to face and actively grow relationships across your region. Reporting directly into the Managing Director of Sales, you will work closely with underwriting and internal teams to structure deals efficiently and maximise completion volumes across the bridging, refurbishment and buy-to-let product suite. This is a fast-paced, high-activity environment where enquiries move quickly and performance is rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage deal enquiries directly with introducers, structuring cases in line with credit policy.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with brokers and introducers.
- Actively generate new business from inbound enquiries, existing partners, networking and industry channels.
- Drive bridging and buy-to-let volumes through relationship-led sales activity.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets agreed with senior leadership.
- Attend and present at exhibitions, seminars, workshops and broker events.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, service proposition and competitor offerings.
- Accurately record activity, meetings and contacts on the CRM system.
Skills and Experience
- Proven Business Development Manager experience within specialist lending, bridging finance or wider property finance markets.
- Minimum of three yearsβ experience within financial services sales or intermediary distribution.
- Strong understanding of broker-led sales environments.
- Confident presenter, comfortable engaging with both small groups and large audiences.
- Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, telephone and digital channels.
- Highly motivated with a strong focus on customer service and delivery.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to influence at senior level and operate with professionalism and integrity.
- Clear alignment with values centred around teamwork, service excellence, integrity and tenacity.
