About the Role

As Regional Account Manager, you will take full ownership of the Yorkshire and North East Midlands patch, developing and executing a clear strategy to increase broker engagement and loan origination. This is a field-based role with a strong emphasis on face-to-face relationship building and new business development. You will operate as the senior commercial lead in your region, supported by a dedicated Telephone BDM, giving you the tools to both win new accounts and maximise existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow lending volumes across buy-to-let and residential products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers through consistent face-to-face engagement
  • Identify, target and convert new broker accounts across your territory
  • Maximise opportunities within existing accounts to drive repeat and increased business
  • Manage and collaborate with your dedicated Telephone BDM to ensure full market coverage
  • Promote specialist lending propositions and clearly articulate key differentiators
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly lending targets
  • Maintain a strong presence within the intermediary market, positioning yourself as the go-to contact

Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in a BDM / Regional Account Manager role within financial services
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage market, ideally within specialist lending or buy-to-let
  • Experience working for a lender, brokerage or network in a business development capacity
  • Established broker relationships within Yorkshire or surrounding areas (desirable)
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels
