We are excited to be recruiting a Senior People Manager for a well‑established Tech Business with offices in Newcastle and globally recognised as a top 100 place to work.

They are looking for a superstar Senior People Manager to join their team in a stand‑alone role to elevate their employer brand and help them build the most talented workforce in the industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

In this highly autonomous, generalist role, you will be the driving force behind HR operations and people strategy. If you love bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table and executing them quickly, you will thrive here.

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, partner with hiring managers, and design an unforgettable onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Champion workplace culture by managing bi‑annual employee engagement surveys and leading the follow‑up actions with the leadership team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, guiding them on performance management, L&D initiatives, and team development.
  • Oversee monthly payroll, drive the annual salary review process, manage HR policies, and report on key people and CSR metrics to the Senior Leadership Team.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of generalist HR experience at a Senior People Manager level, ideally within an SME environment.
  • CIPD (or equivalent) qualification and have a sharp, up‑to‑date understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Exemplary communication skills, a proactive "self-starter" mentality, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities seamlessly.
  • Global People experience is desirable but an advantage

Why Join?

They believe in treating their people exceptionally well. When you join them, you will enjoy a benefits package designed for real work‑life balance and well‑being:

  • 28 days annual leave, plus we close the office between Christmas and New Year.
  • True hybrid working, plus the ability to work from anywhere in the world for two weeks each year!
  • Fully paid 4‑week sabbaticals (with a company contribution to your plans) at your 5 and 10‑year work anniversaries.
  • Quarterly Wellness Allowance, a comprehensive medical cash plan, and 24/7 access to Employee Assistance Programme.
  • A dedicated training budget and a commitment to your professional development.
