The Mortgage Compliance Officer Role As a Mortgage Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies on a variety of mortgage cases. Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks. Mortgage Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular audits of mortgage files, loan documents, and processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay up to date with changes in mortgage laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the management team and staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to address compliance issues and implement necessary changes. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance awareness. Prepare and submit regular compliance reports and documentation to management and regulatory agencies, as required. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and remediation efforts. The Mortgage Compliance Officer Package Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Thursday – Office Based Friday Working from home Basic Salary: £35k – £45k DOE 25 Holiday days per year Relevant Experience (Essential) Mortgage Compliance experience within financial services Able to work individually and collaboratively in order to achieve business objectives. Exceptional relationship building and communication skills. Strong objection handling and problem-solving skills.
