Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm in London's West End, formed through the merger of two respected practices. With around 150 legal professionals and a strong reputation across real estate, corporate, disputes, private client and more, they offer a collaborative environment, and the infrastructure and support to help a senior lawyer grow their practice.
About the Role
This is a senior opportunity for an established Banking and Finance Partner, or a senior lawyer ready for partnership, to bring a client following to the firm and lead the banking and finance offering. You will act for lenders and borrowers on a broad range of banking and finance work, and work alongside the firm's real estate, corporate and restructuring teams, giving genuine scope for cross-referrals and to shape the strategy of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the firm's banking and finance practice
- Act for lenders and borrowers on secured, real estate and corporate finance transactions
- Bring and develop an established client following and referral network
- Manage complex, high-value matters
- Generate new work through cross-referrals with the firm's real estate, corporate and restructuring teams
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers
- Contribute to the firm's strategy and growth as a senior member of the team
- Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and client care
Package
- £150,000-£250,000, depending on experience and client following
- A senior role with real influence over the direction of the banking and finance practice
- Infrastructure, administrative and business support from a full-service firm
- Based in the firm's West End London office
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with significant banking and finance experience
- Existing Partner, or senior lawyer ready for partnership, with a portable client following
- Proven track record of business development, client acquisition and fee income
- Strong technical expertise across secured, real estate and corporate finance
- Leadership experience, with a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach
