We're recruiting for an ambitious Credit Officer or Senior Credit Officer to join a successful specialist property finance lender.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in credit decisions, working across bridging and development finance within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment that offers genuine progression.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Credit Operations, you'll review lending proposals from initial credit assessment through to handover into Asset Management.

Working closely with Underwriters and senior stakeholders, you'll provide clear credit recommendations, maintain lending standards and help drive efficient deal execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review bridging and development finance applications.
  • Assess valuations, legal documents and professional reports.
  • Produce credit recommendations for Credit Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with lending policy and risk appetite.
  • Maintain accurate credit records and reporting.
  • Support deal progression through to completion.
  • Deliver smooth handovers to Asset Management.
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues where required.

Skills & Experience

  • 2-5 years' experience within bridging, development finance or property lending.
  • Credit, underwriting or credit analysis experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK property‑backed lending.
  • Ability to assess risk and make sound credit recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
  • Collaborative approach with the confidence to support junior team members.
  • Able to work predominantly from the office.
