About the Role
The firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to play a key role within its real estate finance practice, with a clear emphasis on bridging finance. The work is predominantly bridging lending, acting for lenders and borrowers on secured lending matters, with a smaller element of commercial property finance, including buy‑to‑let. This is a senior, outward‑facing position with a clear expectation of involvement in business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising lenders and borrowers on bridging finance transactions
- Drafting, negotiating and completing facility agreements and security documents
- Managing transactions from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with lenders, brokers and introducers
- Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors where appropriate
- Actively contributing to business development, marketing activity and the growth of the practice
Skills & Experience
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- Operating at Senior Associate level within a law firm
- Strong experience in real estate finance, with particular expertise in bridging finance
- Confident handling high‑value, fast‑paced secured lending transactions
- Commercial mindset with a demonstrable interest in business development
- Existing client following or referrer network highly advantageous
- Experience billing at, or close to, three times salary
