Our client is a specialist, RICS-regulated consultancy that provides expert advice on capital allowances, plant & machinery claims, land remediation relief, and property tax relief strategies. Working closely with accountants, solicitors, developers, and commercial property owners, they deliver tailored, high-value solutions that unlock significant tax savings.
About the Role – Business Development Manager
As Business Development Manager, you will spearhead growth efforts by originating new business opportunities and forming strategic referral partnerships. Your focus will be on developing high-quality relationships with professional intermediaries (such as accountants, solicitors, and property advisors) while representing the company with credibility and impact.
This is not just a sales role—it’s a consultative position where you’ll educate partners, identify opportunities, and collaborate closely with technical specialists to deliver solutions that make a tangible difference to clients.
Business Development Manager: Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and grow a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain referral networks with accountants, solicitors, property professionals, and investors.
- Represent the firm in meetings, presentations, and industry events—both virtually and in person.
- Work closely with internal experts to design bespoke solutions for clients and partners.
- Track and report on business development activity and performance metrics.
- Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the business, bringing fresh ideas and commercial insight.
Business Development Manager: Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client origination within capital allowances, tax relief, commercial property, or a related professional services environment.
- Strong existing network of contacts across accountancy, legal, property, or financial services.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, confident in both face-to-face and video-led meetings.
- Highly self-motivated with a consultative, integrity-driven approach to business development.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify new market opportunities.
- RICS accreditation or experience within surveying/property advisory.
- Working knowledge of capital allowances, property tax relief, or related legislation.
