We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroller to join our recognised client based in Gateshead. This role will assist in the processing of monthly payroll for approximately 8000 colleagues. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week offering a salary of £26,000.
Responsibility and Duties
- Accurate processing of an end-to-end monthly payroll of circa 1,200 colleagues.
- Review, manage and resolve payroll queries including the calculation and raising of manual payments where required and ensuring they are all accurately recorded.
- Good understanding of statutory payments including Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental leave.
- Experience of full end-to-end payroll preferred.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as part of a payroll team is essential.
- Must have exceptional communication skills.
- Must be competent in performing manual payroll calculations.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining composure.
- Experience of operating a modern payroll software package such as PeopleXD (Access), Success Factors (SAP), Oracle, Dayforce (Ceridian) or Workday.
- Candidates should be experienced in Excel, knowledge of VLOOKUP’s is also required.
- CIPP qualified is desirable but not essential.
