A growing and highly regarded legal practice is seeking an experienced Credit Hire Paralegal to join its expanding team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with defendant or claimant credit hire experience who is looking to manage their own caseload within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of litigated credit hire matters and work closely with experienced litigators on complex and high-value disputes.
The Role
- Managing a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated credit hire files
- Reviewing evidence and preparing cases for settlement or trial
- Drafting court documents, witness statements and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, insurers, counsel and third parties
- Conducting liability and quantum investigations
- Supporting senior fee earners on more complex matters where required
About You
- Previous experience within credit hire litigation is essential
- Ability to manage files with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident handling court deadlines and procedural requirements
- Experience using a case management system
- Law degree/LPC/SQE advantageous but not essential
