My client is looking for an experienced motor trade broker for a fast-growing national insurance broker. The role involves advising dealerships, traders, and fleet operators on tailored motor trade insurance products, building strong insurer relationships, and delivering excellent client service while driving profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise motor trade clients on appropriate insurance solutions, including road risk, combined motor trade, fleet, and ancillary covers
- New business development through referrals, networking, and proactive prospecting
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients, handling renewals, mid‑term adjustments, and policy reviews
- Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage with insurers and underwriters
- Assess risk presentations and prepare accurate, compliant market submissions
- Ensure all business is conducted in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures
- Provide prompt, professional support for claims notifications and insurer liaison
- Maintain accurate records using broking and CRM systems
- Stay up to date with market trends, insurer appetite, and regulatory changes
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in motor trade insurance broking (essential)
- Strong knowledge of motor trade products and underwriting considerations
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills
