Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a fresh challenge in a professional, well-equipped workshop environment? My client is looking for a skilled and proactive technician to join their team to maintain and repair a modern, diverse fleet of heavy goods and commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – from diagnostics and electrical repairs to fabrication and roadside call-outs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic tools
- Performing bodywork repairs, welding, and fabrication
- Ensuring all vehicles meet compliance and road safety standards
- Supporting junior team members and maintaining a safe, clean workshop
- Attending breakdowns and off-site work when needed
- Participating in a standby rota for out-of-hours cover (as required)

- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – essential
- Proven experience with HGV servicing, diagnostics, and repair
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
- Welding/fabrication experience preferred
- Full UK driving licence required
- IRTEC accreditation desirable (or willingness to achieve)
