About the Analyst – Development Finance Role

As an Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the front-office origination and credit process. You’ll be responsible for creating compelling credit papers and citing documents that allow the Commercial Director to present, shape, and approve deals at pace.

This isn’t a purely technical, behind-the-scenes analyst job. You’ll be directly involved in real deals, working closely with Relationship Directors and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is commercially aware, highly organised, and eager to grow into a more senior position in time.

Analyst – Development Finance Key Responsibilities

• Support the origination and execution of development finance transactions
• Draft well-structured, persuasive citing papers for internal credit approval
• Conduct research on borrowers, projects, and market conditions
• Liaise with third parties including valuers, solicitors, and QS firms
• Prepare internal reporting and assist with portfolio monitoring
• Gain exposure to every part of the deal lifecycle — from enquiry to drawdown

• £30,000 – £40,000 base salary depending on experience

Analyst – Development Finance Skills and Experience Required

• At least 1 years’ experience in development finance or specialist lending
• Strong written communication skills – able to put together clear, concise credit papers
• Analytical mindset with commercial awareness
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure
• Ambition to grow within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial lending environment
