You’ll work closely with the internal sales team and external brokers, ensuring deals are structured effectively and comply with lending criteria., * Assess complex buy-to-let mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with lending criteria and regulatory requirements

• Evaluate financial documents, credit reports, and property valuations to determine loan viability

• Make informed lending decisions within delegated authority limits

• Collaborate with sales, broker, and credit risk teams to facilitate smooth deal progression

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the buy-to-let market and regulatory changes

• Provide guidance and feedback to junior underwriting team members as required

• Ensure high levels of accuracy and professionalism in every case

• Proven experience in buy-to-let mortgage underwriting, particularly with complex cases

• In-depth knowledge of mortgage regulations, credit risk, and lending criteria

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial risk

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with brokers and internal teams

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Experience with specialist lending is an advantage

• Salary: £50k – £70k, based on experience
