The firm is recruiting for a Newcastle based Document Production Technician to work Monday to Friday (09:30-17:30) at our Newcastle Hub working Hybrid – 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days working from home each week.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and amend lengthy and complex business‑critical documents with speed and accuracy in line with our house style.
  • Proofread and check all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense.
  • Be proactive in learning new skills and technology within your role to support the needs of the business.
  • Respond to internal and external telephone enquiries politely and professionally.
  • Ensure an effective and efficient handover of work between shifts.
  • Show initiative when responding to queries and actively seek solutions to problem documents.
  • Share information on document best practice or fixes to document problems to support the team’s aim of excellence in accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be flexible in meeting the needs of the team and business, including occasional shift changes with reasonable notice to accommodate meetings, training sessions, or support requirements.

Qualifications

  • Established document production experience in a fast‑paced professional services environment, using templates and House Style with exposure to lengthy and corrupt documents.
  • Typing speed of at least 65 wpm and proficiency in both audio and copy typing.
  • Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio 2016.
  • Experience working on and problem‑solving corrupt documents.
  • Experience with PDF Docs, Adobe Pro and DocXTools.
  • Experience working with scanned documents.
  • MOS Word Expert qualification (additional MOS qualifications in PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook beneficial).
