About 2150

2150 invests in the technologies reshaping the physical world. We back transformative companies redefining how the real economy operates: how we generate energy, manufacture goods, move people and materials, build our environments, and apply AI across critical physical systems. By focusing on the foundations of global prosperity, 2150 supports solutions that make them more efficient, resilient, and sustainable. We partner with ambitious founders building globally significant companies at the forefront of their markets, delivering both financial performance and measurable benefits for people and the planet. The firm manages €500 million in assets under management and invests worldwide from offices in London and Copenhagen.

Having recently announced the final close of our new Fund and with €500m of assets under management, we are now looking for an exceptional investor to join the team. 2150 is hiring a Principal to help originate, evaluate, win and manage outstanding investment opportunities across our core areas of focus on both sides of the Atlantic. This is a senior investment role for someone who combines strong venture judgment, commercial instinct, analytical rigour and intellectual curiosity. The right person will be capable of leading investment work independently, building conviction in complex markets, developing differentiated theses, supporting portfolio companies, and helping raise the standard of the firm. We would expect the ideal candidate to have the gravitas to help build 2150’s voice and reputation in the market and to act as a mentor and leader to younger team members. The role is based in London, with regular interaction across our wider team and international travel where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and win exceptional investments: Source high-quality opportunities, build founder relationships, and win competitive deals.
  • Develop high-conviction investment theses: Identify where technology can transform large systems and spot leading companies early.
  • Lead investment analysis and diligence: Assess opportunities end-to-end, from market and founders to business model and risks. Support investment execution.
  • Support portfolio companies: Partner with founders on fundraising, hiring, go-to-market, and growth.
  • Build 2150’s external voice and network: Engage founders, investors, and the ecosystem to strengthen relationships and market presence.
  • Contribute as a leader: Drive team development, improve processes, and support a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Your Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will combine venture investing experience, commercial judgement, analytical depth, and strong mission alignment. We are especially interested in candidates who have seen excellent investing up close and are now looking for more ownership, more responsibility and a platform they can help build.

You may be a good fit if you are:

  • Venture-proven: Experience in venture capital or growth equity across sourcing, diligence, IC materials, transaction execution, and portfolio support.
  • Commercially sharp: Strong understanding of customer behavior, market dynamics, and what drives venture-scale businesses.
  • Analytically rigorous: Able to turn complex information into clear investment judgments. Comfortable with market sizing, financial modeling, unit economics, and competitive analysis.
  • Thesis-driven and intellectually curious: Motivated to explore complex markets ahead of the curve. Curious about transformative and emerging technologies. Quick to build credibility through strong learning and synthesis.
  • High ownership and low ego: Proactive and able to drive workstreams independently. Values debate, challenges perspectives, and contributes to collective thinking. Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and improves processes along the way.
  • Strong founder instincts: You can build trust with ambitious founders. You know how to identify exceptional founders. You can represent 2150 credibly in competitive processes and help founders understand why we are the right partner.

About 2150

We are building something we believe matters. A venture firm with genuine specialist conviction in the technologies reshaping our physical world, at a moment when that change is accelerating. You will work on some of the largest and most consequential markets in venture: energy, industry, cities, and the AI remaking all of them. You will back exceptional founders, shape how we think about these markets, and help build a firm that takes both financial performance and real-world impact seriously. We are actively deploying Fund II and one of the few European firms investing meaningfully across both sides of the Atlantic. If you want to invest in what the world is built on and do it alongside a team that goes deep, we would love to hear from you.

Commitment to Diversity

2150 is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. We believe a diverse team makes better investment decisions, builds stronger relationships with founders and investors, and helps us better understand the markets we invest in.
