NQIS is a nationwide industrial cleaning and maintenance company employing people from the High Peak and surrounding areas to work locally and across the UK. We are currently looking to recruit motivated, Industrial Cleaning & Maintenance Operatives to join our team. Some working away may also be required, but is not essential to the role and can be discussed at the interview stage.
Working predominantly within the Quarrying and Production industries, suitable applicants will need to have:
A full UK Drivers licence.
A good understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace - This includes the ability to read and understand Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits to Work.
Good communication skills - Verbal and visual communication methods are common within the role, including using site radios and conducting traffic management.
Be able to work as part of a team when required.
Be able to show initiative when working alone or with minimal supervision.
Show a positive attitude towards their work and other members of site personnel.
Take pride in their work and complete tasks to high a standard.
Be versatile and willing to expand their skill set to continuously adapt to new and challenging tasks.
Be hard working, reliable, punctual and flexible with working schedules and hours.
Successful candidate must be able to work a Saturday or Sunday on an alternating week/fortnightly basis as per a rota.
The job role may include, but is not limited to the following requirements and responsibilities:
Site cleaning - including spills from plant processes, machinery, and general cleaning.
Operating machinery - We hire and use several different types of mobile machinery, including Bobcat Skid Steers, Forward Tipping Dumpers and Fork Lift Trucks.
General Maintenance - Greasing machinery, bag filter changes, media changes and component changes etc.
Specialist operations - Silo Whipping, Media Changes, Shot/Sand/Dry Ice Blasting etc
Job role cover for sickness, holidays and absences, including Weighbridges, Bagging Plant Operation and Machine Drivers etc.
Operating and cleaning using one of our DISAB Vacuum Tankers.
Full, clean UK Drivers license is ESSENTIAL. Site safety qualification's such as NPORS or SPA would be advantageous but not compulsory as NQIS can provide full training and there will be opportunities to gain qualifications and licenses for a variety of different items of mobile plant and machinery. This role can be physically demanding and can involve heavy lifting. The working conditions can be dusty and dirty and involve evening, weekend and shift work.
