I am a 16‑year‑old boy living in Port Talbot. I have a learning disability, autism, ADHD and dyspraxia, but I am also just a regular kid. I have a happy outlook and I am great company. I have a lovely sense of humour and I like to make people laugh. I love talking about things I’m interested in – mainly football, FIFA 23 and Manchester United. I like going to parks and riding in any kind of transport. I like watching YouTube and playing on my PS5 but I need to get out more! I play football for two teams. I’m looking for a young‑at‑heart, outdoorsy PA to help me explore new interests and develop my independent living skills in the community. The PA might need to support me to attend my football training and I would love it if a PA could have a kick‑about in the park with me too.

- Fun and active, yet able to be firm when needed.
- Experience supporting young adults with ADHD and autism is an advantage.
Employment Details
- Hours: 8 hours per week, flexible – can be during the week after college and on the weekend; some flexibility to have the 8 hours on an occasional weekend.
- This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC).
- If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.
- If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided.
- This post is subject to a trial period of one month and a probationary period of up to six months.
Compensation and Benefits
- Wages will be paid on a 4‑weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
- You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment.
- You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
- You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post.
- The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment.
- Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
