I am a lady in my 60's living in the central area of Port Talbot. I am lively and young at heart. I can be quiet when we first met, but I am very chatty when you get to know me. I like to bake cakes, crochet, watch TV and make cards. I have a learning difficulty and a visual impairment. I am looking for a PA to help me with going shopping and help me to batch cook healthy meals at home. The PA will help me to attend my Slimming World group on a Monday evening and health appointments on a Tuesday and to support me with accessing the community.
Purpose
- Making shopping lists and help me shop for healthy food and ingredients.
- Help me read the sell by dates and check labels when we are shopping/cooking.
- Help me with batch cooking healthy meals at home.
- Help me keep my kitchen tidy for cooking.
- Support me to attend my Slimming World group on a Monday.
- Support me to access the community for other activities, such as browsing the shops and going for a coffee.
- Support to attend health appointments.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement. If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months. Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement. You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences. You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct.
