I am a 91 year old lady living in the Aberavon area of Port Talbot. I have a hearing and visual impairment. I enjoy attending Church which I do twice a week and I also enjoy going for walks. For an hour a day I like to watch Judge Judy and Judge Rinder on the Television.
Purpose:
- Support with shopping i.e. reading labels to me
- Support me with my correspondence
- Support me to access the community
- Support me to attend groups
- Go for a tea/coffee
- Change the batteries in my hearing aid

Hours:
- 6 hours per week to be used as follows:
- 3 hours - flexible with times on a mutually suitable day Wednesday
- 3 hours – 10.30am for me to attend Church

This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of an individual employer. You will be employed by that individual and not Neath Port Talbot Council. Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement. You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences. You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
