Band B. Annualised hours: 552.9 - 677 (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends). Flexible fractional, fixed term until 12 February 2027. NPTC Group of Colleges - To be based at Neath College, to provide support at Afan, Llandarcy Academy of Sport and Pontardawe College. Associate Lecturer Scales 1 - 4, £26,387 - £31,140 per annum, pro rata. Main Grade Scales 1 - UP1, £33,596 - £48,289 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).
Our ideal applicant will have a teaching qualification, along with a level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in the subject area and have relevant experience. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English are also required (GCSE or equivalent). With the impact the digital world is having on teaching and learning candidates must be IT literate equivalent to level 2.

As well as competitive salaries, our pension schemes are some of the best available. These are administered via the Local Government Pension Scheme or the Teacher's Pension Scheme and provide pensions that are increased each year in line with inflation. We contribute over £20 into your pension, for every £100 you earn. The holiday allowance is excellent right from year 1. You have 46 days per year of holiday, and as we close the College for up to 5 days over Christmas, this means up to an additional 5 days of leave. With the 8 days of public/bank holidays on top of this, you could benefit from 59 days of annual leave as a Lecturer. This is work-life balance!

Sickness benefits here are generous, and staff are also provided with free access to independent occupational health, the Employee Support Helpline, a 24-hour life management and personal support helpline. The College also employs a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, who provides support and organises very popular events across the Group, as well as providing access to a variety of free wellbeing resources. There is free car parking at all of our main colleges as well as bike storage, and if you are based in the South we can also offer a 10% discount at the Lilliput Day Nursery in Neath.
