The Governing body of Llangiwg Primary School seeks to appoint a suitably qualified, caring and committed 1:1 Level 2 teaching assistant. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (1:1) to work within our Early Years setting, providing individualised support for a pupil with additional learning needs and ensuring their full inclusion in school life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Early Years, tailored to meet their specific learning, emotional and developmental needs.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Promote the pupil’s independence, wellbeing and social development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, ALNCo, external professionals and parents or carers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
  • Patient, caring and able to build strong, positive relationships.
  • Understanding of supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN).
  • Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Satisfactory references.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
  • Compliance with safeguarding procedures.
