We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy team as a Childcare Offer Support Team Officer, working as part of the Family Information Service. The Neath Port Talbot Family Information Service is committed to delivering high-quality, accessible, and impartial information to families and professionals about a broad spectrum of family services, resources, news, and events across NPT. Our team works closely with parents, carers, and childcare providers to ensure the Childcare Offer for Wales is delivered efficiently and in accordance with Welsh Government standards. We strive to support parents through the application process, actively promote the Offer, and tackle any barriers to engagement. We provide both telephone and email support to parents, carers, and childcare providers, ensuring queries are answered promptly and effectively.
As a Support Team Officer you will join a busy team to assist with all aspects of the administration and monitoring of the Childcare Offer for Wales Programme in Neath Port Talbot. You must be able to work well as part of a team, be highly motivated, and have good communication skills.
Your daily routine will be:
- Processing all aspects of Childcare Offer application forms
- Checking eligibility of families for the Childcare Offer
- Data collection, collation and submission of statistical information for Welsh Government
- Liaising with childcare providers and families to address any challenges or issues encountered as part of their use of the Childcare Offer
- Answering telephone calls and queries from parents, partners and other local authorities
- Maintaining records on the Childcare Offer database
Do you have:
- Experience of providing administrative support
- Excellent call handling and customer service skills
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using databases
