The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.
Permanent Caretaker role at Ysgol Bae Baglan, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Working Hours: Shift pattern of mornings (6:00am – 2:00pm) and afternoons (2:00pm – 10:00pm) worked on alternate weeks. Also required to work one Sunday in every four. Start date: 20th July 2026 or as soon after.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all areas of the school are safe, secure, clean, and welcoming.
- Support opening and closing of school facilities.
- Perform general property maintenance and basic DIY tasks.
- Comply with fire safety and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a high regard for personal and others’ safety, with particular attention to safeguarding children.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in general property maintenance.
- A sound understanding of fire safety and health and safety procedures.
- A committed, flexible, and reliable approach to work.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is not essential; experience in room setup, basic maintenance/DIY, and working within a school environment would be advantageous.
