Responsibilities

  • Provide direction in the implementation of business planning and governance arrangements across the Agency, including Service Recovery Plans and Corporate / Welsh Government Performance Management information.
  • Lead on complaints received by the Agent and ensure liaison with Accountable Managers across the Agent, providing advice and support.

Also liaising with the Corporate Complaints Officer and the Complaints Ombudsman, as required.

  • Provide a coordination role in respect of all Freedom of Information requests/Subject Access requests received in the Directorate, providing advice and support and liaising with relevant services in relation to the responses.
  • Provide management to the Administration Teams across the Agent with specific oversight of the external enquiry process, ensuring a positive customer experience for all who make contact with the Agent.
  • Assist the IT Manager on optimising the use of information technology, such as the development of Welsh Government and directorate information systems and i Procurement.
  • Assist with business emergency planning arrangements within the Agency, ensuring departmental Business Continuity Plans are completed and appropriate.
  • Lead on the completion of the Strategic and Annual Business Plans for the Agent, liaising with Strategic and Accountable Managers to ensure relevance, completion and communication.
  • Lead on Agent internal and external marketing and communication issues, including the provision of monthly newsletters, performance reports and annual reviews.
  • Provide leadership and management to the Agent Recruitment and Retention team including the management of the Early Careers programme.
  • Oversee the management of the training plans, programmes and development reviews for all Interns, Apprentices and Graduates.
  • Be responsible for the Agent’s mail room function, ensuring all mail is dealt with confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Provide a source of expert advice to the Agent Management Team on the Authority’s and Directorate’s business risk management processes.
  • Strategically lead on the planning and implementing of the Agent’s performance management framework, to support and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Plan, co‑ordinate and direct a broad range of operational business support services functions, to assist the Agent in achieving its key objectives.
