We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker/Cleaner to maintain our community halls. You will be responsible for cleaning, general upkeep, preparing halls for events, and ensuring the buildings are safe and secure for all users.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning floors, toilets, kitchens, and communal areas
- Opening, closing, and securing halls, including operating security systems
- Preparing rooms for events (tables, chairs, equipment)
- Monitoring health & safety and reporting maintenance issues
- Assisting hall users as needed
Desirable:
- Basic DIY or maintenance skills
- Event support experience
- Health & safety certifications (manual handling, first aid)
- Teamwork and customer service orientation
Minimum 25 hours per week increasing to 37 hours per week on a shift rota basis (over evening and weekend work depending on hall bookings).
Working hours schedule:
- Monday: Full Day
- Tuesday: 1/2 day/split shift overlap
- Wednesday: 1/2 day/split shift overlap
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sundays: Full Days
