Responsibilities
- You will be expected to assist in the smooth running of the lunchtime service and maintain hygienic conditions in the kitchen and undertake associated kitchen duties.
- Wash up.
- Set up and clear away equipment and tables.
- Clean the kitchen, its surrounds and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of high‑quality and varied meals for young people.
- You will work as part of a team, comply with Food and Health and Safety Regulations and maintain a high standard of work.
- The role requires working with agreed schedules.
Qualifications
- Basic food hygiene training is required, and you will need to attend relevant training courses.
- The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure (Child’s) from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- Own transport is required, qualifying for the Council’s casual car user allowance.
