Starting September 1st 2026 and temporary until the 31st August 2027. The Governing body of Coed Hirwaun Primary School seeks to appoint a suitably qualified, caring and committed individual to fill the vacancy of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, helping to support and deliver learning to pupils. The post is based at Coed Hirwaun Primary School.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for an ALN/Nurture provision within the school.
  • Monitor pupils’ engagement and learning, providing appropriate support to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Assess, record and report on pupils’ achievement, progress and development in line with school procedures.
  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional and educational development, maintaining high expectations at all times.
  • Take responsibility for the management and development of a designated specialist area within the school.
  • Lead, support and manage other teaching assistants, including allocation and monitoring of work.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support teaching, learning and inclusion.

The successful candidate must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 5 qualification, HLTA or equivalent in Childcare.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and other rigorous safer recruitment checks, including registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
