Responsibilities
- To develop, plan and deliver high quality services, placing the Agent’s objectives at the heart of all decision making.
- To set ambitious but achievable objectives for service delivery, supporting operational managers to meet changing organisational needs, leading by example and taking responsibility for delivering successful outcomes for the Agent.
- To provide effective day-to-day leadership and management across the Service as well as contributing to the leadership of the wider Agent, role modelling behaviours in line with Agent values and working collaboratively with colleague managers to deliver priorities as set out in the Corporate Plan and the Strategic Workforce Plan.
- To support the Strategic Manager and/or Head of Service to deliver ambitious and end-user focused strategies and policies.
- To act as an advocate for the Agent, providing input into initiatives and collaborations with external and internal stakeholders, as applicable.
- To work positively and proactively with the Welsh Government (WG) on relevant service matters; preparing reports and briefings; taking into account the special nature of relationships between the Agent, the Council and the WG.
