We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Foundation Apprentice within the Strategic Property & Valuation Management Department. This is an opportunity to undertake a placement within a busy section of the Environment Directorate based at the Baglan Bay Innovation Centre. The role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a small team, learn new skills and gain valuable work experience.

Your daily routine will include general office duties such as photocopying and filing, answering telephone and email queries, taking and passing on messages, arranging meetings for senior officers and inputting and retrieving data from management information systems.

About you:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade A-C, including either English or Welsh and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • A willingness to work towards a Level 2 NVQ Qualification in Business Administration as part of your training.

Duration of contract: 15 months fixed term, 37 hours per week.

Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.
