Various hours of work available. Please contact the team on the details below for more information. Hours of work will be between 7 am and 11 pm. These posts are based within the Home First Community Wellbeing Team at various locations throughout Neath Port Talbot. The Community Wellbeing Team works closely with the Swansea Bay University Health Board to provide a Reablement service as well as short- and long-term care to individuals living within the Neath Port Talbot County Borough.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to individuals within their own home, helping them recover independence following unwellness or loss of skills.
- Work as an effective team member to deliver short- and long-term programmes of care or therapy, implementing individual support plans under supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience working with individuals in need of care or support in a health and social care setting is desirable, with an understanding of supporting people living with dementia.
- A passion for supporting individuals is essential.
- We will provide training and help work towards a Level 2 qualification in Care.
- We will also help register as a Domiciliary Care Worker with Social Care Wales, which is essential for this role.
- Applicants must be caring, enthusiastic, empathetic and able to travel extensively within the County Borough area.
- The role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure (Adults).
