Join our project delivery team as a Controls/Commissioning Engineer and take responsibility for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems. This is a highly technical, site-based role for a methodical, organised, and driven individual who will support projects from the installation phase through to the completion of the commissioning phase. This includes the final assembly and installation of all equipment at site, as well as initial testing and debugging of interfaces and communications. The systems you will be working on involve complex industrial automation, material handling, scanning, and robotic systems.
You will have experience working within an electrical biased role, such as Controls/Commissioning Engineer or Automation/Controls Technician, with a strong understanding of electrical principles. You are experienced in fault finding and implementing program modifications on a range of PLCs, SCADA, or Robotics systems. Experience within automation, material handling, scanning, bar code readers, or robotic systems would be preferred. You hold an electrical biased qualification and are capable of diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic equipment malfunctions. Your commitment to quality and safety is evident.
Key Focus:- Installation & Testing: Execute final assembly and installation of all equipment at site, and perform initial testing and debugging of interfaces and communications.
- System Maintenance: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and PLC systems.
- Fault Finding & Modification: Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic equipment malfunctions. Ability to fault find and implement program modifications on a range of PLCs & SCADA, and Robotics systems.
- Quality & Compliance: Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
