About the Opportunity:

We’re excited to be working with a fantastic client a specialist software consultancy that’s helping to solve some of the UK\’s most complex challenges across Central Government and national security.

They’re looking for a Software Solution Architect to join their friendly, fast-moving delivery team. You\’ll be hands-on shaping technical architectures, leading agile teams, building smart backend systems, powerful data pipelines, and modern web apps all while making a real impact for Government clients.

The role offers genuine flexibility with hybrid working, regular team catchups, and occasional trips to customer sites (mainly around London and along the M4 corridor).

What You’ll Be Doing:

Designing and delivering full-stack software solutions from scratch.

Shaping and reviewing cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, private cloud).

Writing clear technical Statements of Requirements and operating model designs.

Leading agile teams and making sure best practices like Scrum and Kanban are followed.

Acting as a trusted technical advisor to Government clients.

Owning projects from the early concept stage through to delivery and support.

Staying ahead of tech trends and bringing new ideas to the table.

Building great relationships with clients and guiding your team to success.

Important:
You\’ll need to be eligible for UK SC Security Clearance (British Citizen, living in the UK continuously for the past 5 years).

What We\’re Looking For:

Experienced Software or Solutions Architect who’s worked across a variety of technical projects.

Strong full-stack technical knowledge, with a real passion for cloud-native development.

Great at working directly with clients, translating needs into technical solutions.

Leadership skills to guide engineers and inspire teams.

Consultancy experience or previous work with Government clients would be a real bonus.

Comfortable working with open-source tech and keeping up with the latest innovations.
