The predicted salary is between 55000 - 70000 £ per year.
This position will play a critical role in the success of the Ethylene Oxide and Glycol production units. The successful candidate will provide leadership and innovation to ensure that the units are run safely, efficiently and in compliance with environmental permits. The successful candidate will also communicate with various levels of the organization to ensure targets are met and daily activities are managed properly.
What will be expected from you?
- Support Ethylene Oxide and Glycols day to day operations.
- Optimize throughput, yield, and efficiency of the process through daily analysis and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot quality excursions and process upsets and implement solutions to drive improvements.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) processes as needed to ensure safety of process changes.
- Track and enter asset capability (OEE) data for the production units.
- Lead incident investigations and RCFAs.
- Develop and implement process improvements or capital improvements to drive long-term success of the operating units.
- Perform end of month financial/reporting/closing duties for EO/Glycol products.
- Provide input to the budget and capital planning process.
- Participate in plant sponsored safety processes - complete weekly field safety observations.
- Promote and support Indorama core values.
- Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Assist other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals.
- Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
Qualifications
- BS Chemical Engineering degree with minimum of 5 years production/operations experience in a chemical, petrochemical or refining industry.
- Level of proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft office systems.
- Familiarity with chemical plant control systems (DCS) and advanced process control a plus.
- Six Sigma/lean experience preferred.
- Strong use of process simulation tools such as Aspen or Unisim a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions.
