Job Description
This person leads internal finance for all day-to-day financial activities, managing a team of six across several entities. Maintain internal controls; lead oversight of federal awards and programs, including grants. Work with auditors, ensuring audit issues and compliance are met. Prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Analyze financial data and present financial reports and communicate financial statements. Forecast organizational cash flow. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Support the CFO in engaging the board's audit and administration committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery. Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period. Coordinate annual audit and serves as main point of contact with auditors. Review weekly and monthly accounts payable checks for submittal for signature, approves reconciliations of direct reports, federal and state surveys and tax returns.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with multiple entities or intercompany transactions
- BA degree in Accounting and/or Finance and 10 years of experience in accounting. CPA preferred.
- 5 years of experience supervising staff accountants.
- Hands-on management style with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
