The Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work within small, high-performing agile teams, enabling the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient applications. You’ll play a key role in improving engineering efficiency by automating infrastructure, streamlining deployments, and building robust cloud platforms that support the full software development lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
- Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Build and operate shared platform services for deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational support.
- Create and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Deploy, manage, and optimise solutions across AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and delivery teams to improve automation, security, and platform reliability.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability while proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation.
- Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering standards.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and building resilient, secure platforms.
Essential Experience
- Commercial experience building, deploying, and supporting secure production systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of containers, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Comfortable working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies is beneficial:
