About The Client

My client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in East Sussex. Over the past decade, it has expanded to multiple offices and now has a team of approximately 100 members, delivering a comprehensive range of legal services tailored to the needs of individuals, families, and businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a diverse caseload, including relationship breakdowns, divorce, financial settlements, child custody and welfare matters, domestic abuse cases, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
  • Provide clear, empathetic guidance to clients, liaise with solicitors, courts, and mediators to ensure smooth case progression, and maintain accurate records of all communications and actions.
  • Work closely with and provide direction to a dedicated assistant to ensure efficient case management.
  • Oversee and support junior staff, including paralegals, trainees, and newly qualified solicitors (NQS), by monitoring their work, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Stay informed of changes in Family Law legislation and best practices.
  • Ensure all actions comply with legal and ethical standards, upholding the firm's reputation.

About You

  • Qualified CILEx Legal Executive or Solicitor With A Valid Practicing Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years PQE in Family Law (5 years PQE is advantageous).
