Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on legal issues, case merits, options, and likely outcomes.
  • Research laws, regulations, and precedents to inform strategy.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage pre-action protocols, compliance, and explore alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
  • Handle evidence disclosure and respond to discovery requests.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in ADR, including mediation and arbitration.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and liaise with barristers for higher advocacy.
  • Maintain client communication, providing updates and strategic advice.
  • Ensure timely and accurate court filings and procedural compliance.
  • Advise on costs, funding, and manage legal budgets.
